Meet Josh Blewett
Josh developed an interest and aptitude for art at a young age. He is accomplished in graphite, water color, and oil in addition to sculpture and wood carving.
Having grown up in the Pacific NW, Josh cultivated a deep appreciation for nature and found himself drawn to carving and working with driftwood at around the age of 17. He opened his studio in 2003 in Long Beach, WA and has been based in Ridgefield, WA since 2018.
To better inform his art and creative process, Josh has traveled broadly. Travel has afforded him opportunities to study, create, exhibit and collaborate. Some of his recent travel destinations include Japan, Cambodia, Italy, Egypt, Greece, and Jordan. He’s forever inspired by artists and craftsman that came before him as well as his contemporaries around the globe.
